Happy New Year 2018!

A happy new year to you in 2018! If you read my blog, I am happy to receive feedback even if it is just to know you’re out there. I have heard it said that blogs are done for various reasons, and I am no exception. I admit that so much of what I write is often driven by me and what I’m studying, rather than what you may find helpful. I use the process of writing to help myself better reach conclusions about what is true. However, I am trying to write in a readable manner. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any comments, if you are reading at all, or if you have interest in hearing about other topics. Also, be sure to follow me on Facebook and Twitter as often I do share thoughts of a more general (and encouraging nature) there too.

Late last year, I have formally entered the master of divinity program at Maranatha Baptist Seminary. To that end, I expect to be taking two classes this year. The first, on Christology (the doctrine of Christ) and Pneumatology (the doctrine of the Holy Spirit). This will begin in March. The second, in the fall, will be on Bibliology (the doctrine of the Bible) and Theology Proper (the doctrine of God). I hope to be able to share various things from these studies, as I have even this year.

I hope it’s a great year, and we eagerly await the Lord’s return even this year!
